Poker Monsters

Poker Monsters is exactly what it sounds like: 

A Roguelike Deckbuilder Poker game in which you battle big boss Monsters! 

In order to defeat the opposing creature and continue your run, you’ll have to assemble the best Poker Hand you can, playing cards one at a time! The better the combo, the stronger the attack! 

You’ll command an expanding Party of Heroes, each with a unique ability that will help you during the battles. But be careful, every Monster has its own way of throwing a wrench in your plans.

After each win, you’ll earn Poker Chips that you can spend in the Shop to power up for the coming fights. In addition, you are able to take the cards of the monsters that you defeat and add them to your deck!

These cards are special, they are called Evo Cards. When an Evo Card is played, it unleashes a special effect, reminiscent of the monster the card came from. Use the power of your conquered foes to take down new challengers!

Master the game’s mechanics and bend the odds to your favour if you wish to complete the run!

Disclaimer

This is our first public Demo! The game is still in development but we felt comfortable enough to share it in order to get feedback from the public. 

We have put the majority of our efforts into designing the battle mechanics, therefore the traditional Roguelike map (with branching pathways) is missing from this demo.  After each scenario (battle, shop...) the game will automatically start the next one.

The Demo has a set numbers of encounters and a limited number of Monsters and Heroes to discover. We hope you like the game enough to look forward to future updates.

We are aware of the existence of a small visual bug that makes it so the reticle for targeting a Monster's Body Part does not vanish. Don't worry, it does not affect gameplay and will go away at the end of the battle.

Lastly, the game runs on Unreal Engine 5, so having a decent PC might help. There are options to lower the visuals of the game so use it if you feel like the game lags.
