Random encounters and Improved UX
Hey there Poker Monsters!
The Demo has been out for a couple of weeks now and we thought it would be best to give you an update on what we have been working on!
Random encounters emerge!
Up until now, you have faced a fixed sequence of encounters, It's time we change this! We all know how crucial replayability is for Roguelikes so it's only right we made it possible to encounter monsters in a randomized order. You won't just find the monsters you know in a different order, they have all been given nerfs and buffs according to when you'll meet them in your run (let us know if they need some more balance)!
Don't worry, our dreadful boss isn't going anywhere, he's the one and only king of the "Desert Biome"
Improve the Game Manual!
In our previous build, whenever you would right click on an object to pull up the manual, the camera would zoom all the way back. We figured that this was annoying and it gave the battles a very "stop-and-go" feeling that we did not like. Now, pulling up the manual does not change the camera, so you can get straight to reading without breaking the flow of your decision making!
Also, when inspecting a monster, the manual will now update in real time, showing you the true probability of all undiscovered cards the monster has left!
Sidenote
We added buttons to the main menu that directly link you to our socials and.... (drumbroll) we now have a STEAM PAGE! Most updates will be distributed here still but you can go wishlist the game now.
Honestly, wishlist numbers are SUPER important when looking for a publisher so if you could do that for us that would be nice!
Until next time!
